Third Annual Pedal for People Metric Century Ride
The third annual Pedal for People Metric Century Ride will kick into gear on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Armitage Park in Eugene, OR.
Cyclists will be pedaling to support adults whose developmental disabilities would make it difficult if not impossible to make the trek themselves. Produced by the Eugene-based non-profit agency Oregon Supported Living Program (OSLP), the benefit bike ride offers a 100K route, a 100K Plus challenge option, a 60k route and 40k route, all beginning and ending in Armitage Park.
Registration includes pizza from Coburg Pizza Co. and local craft-brewed beer from Ninkasi Brewing Co.
Funds raised during the benefit will help OSLP provide innovative services to adults with developmental disabilities. Over 80 of Eugene and Springfield's most vulnerable community members are thriving due to OSLP's person-centered services.
Riders raising pledges on their online fundraising pages have the opportunity to win prizes like a custom fit bike from Co-Motion Cycles, gift certificates for Rolf Prima wheels, or a Burley bike trailer.
