"Forgotten Heroes: An Honor Flight Story"
A new full length documentary, “Forgotten Heroes: An Honor Flight Story”, will premiere on Veterans Day in the Valley River Inn’s Willamette Room.
The documentary was filmed during an Honor Flight organized by South Willamette Valley Honor Flight in May 2014 when 48 World War II veterans from Lane, Linn, Lincoln, and Benton Counties traveled to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial, and other memorials on the National Mall and in Arlington, VA. Twenty of these veterans were from Eugene and Springfield.
The Producer, Steve Barth, accompanied the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight group and interviewed veterans, guardians, and volunteers during this three and a half day trip from Oregon. These stories are shared in “Forgotten Heroes: An Honor Flight Story”.
All ticket proceeds go towards taking War Veterans to Washington DC to Experience their war memorials.
Honor Flight is a Federal Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Organization
