SELCO Presents: Adulting 101
SELCO Community Credit Union will be hosting a series of seminars aimed at teaching teens and young adults how to better manage their money. Specific topics include creating realistic budgets, comparing financial products and services, and protecting personal information from scammers. The series of three seminars, “Adulting 101,” will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays, Feb. 11, 18, and 25, at SELCO’s Springfield-Gateway Branch (925 Harlow Rd., Springfield). Led by SELCO financial experts, each session will feature a fresh financial focus. The Feb. 11 session will explore “Banking in the Real World,” followed by the Feb. 18 session entitled “Good Cents Budgeting.” The series will close on Feb. 25 with “Credit and You.” The seminars will then be repeated on Tuesdays, April 7, 14, and 25, and Tuesdays, Oct. 6, 13, and 20. These seminars are open to any teen or young adult interested in learning more about better managing their finances. The seminars are free, but space is limited and advance registration is required.
