Metal 4 Meals II

On Saturday, January 3rd the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly presents Metal 4 Meals at the WOW Hall.

This event is a community event that benefits the community as a whole, via food drive and raising money through raffles etc for food for lane county, showcasing independent metal artists and funding their career further, continued support of the historical nonprofit venue the WOW Hall to generate revenue to keep the doors open and continue to serve the community with wonderful events like this as well as promotes local small businesses that sponsor the event with goods and services to raffle and raise money for Food for Lane County. This is truly an event that captures a community coming together to help everyone involved in its production. I’m proud to be part of such a community where things like this can become an annual event. I hope to see you all there next year!! Let’s make this huge!!

NEW WORLD SINNER New World Sinner is a Brutal American Metal Band risen from the NW Metal scene. This old school metal influenced band has been hitting the scene since February of 2008. NWS brings the thunderous sound that has been brought by such acts as "Pantera", "Slayer", "Sepultura", ect... with the new sounds of such acts as "Lamb of God", "Chimaira", and "All Shall Perish" just to name a few. If you are looking for a killer live performance full of energy, then NWS is the band to see. New World Sinner has produce a first EP title "E.P. 1.0" in the spring of 2009 an released their 2nd EP "2.0" in September of 2011 as well as 2 new Singles in 2023, and a brand new Single just hit in 2025 with a upcoming full album coming soon. NWS has played well over 200+ shows in the Oregon underground metal scene, and have been featured in several comps,radio shows,and podcasts all over the world.

DAMAGE OVERDOSE Founded in 1997 by brothers Chuck & DW Hudson on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Central Oregon. Band has been involved in the underground for 21 years now doing countless shows and supporting the scene. Band members consist of Chuck Hudson: Vocals/Guitar, Brian Poland: Guitars/Back vocals, Chris Martin: Bass & DW Hudson: Drums. Damage Overdose (DOD) has coined the term Brutal Rez Metal to describe their music. Drawing from influences of old Metallica, Bolt Thrower, Testament, Obituary, Jungle Rot & old Sepultura. With the years of shows under their belt they keep it consistant with shows and music to bring the heavy masses. Having shared the stages with national acts such as Overkill, Nile, Soulfly, Prong, Obituary, Decapitated, Thy Art Is Murder to more underground bands such as Defeated Sanity, Deeds Of Flesh, Arkaik, Archsphire, Hemlock, Lord Of War, etc. 2017 was the band's 20th yr anniversary & released the album "Indigenocide" in July of 2017. Band now consist of Members Chuck Hudson, DW Hudson, Robert Johnson-Guitars & Tom Fields-Bass/Back Vocals. PROVEN Overcome by complacency, apathy and the lack of truly aggressive music, Portland, Oregon gave birth to the Hardcore Metal group known as Proven.  Possessing the drive and a strong desire to bring their message to the world, Proven has shown they are determined to not let anything hold them back. Their songs, sound, work ethic, and live show garnered the attention of Billy Graziadei (Biohazard, Powerflo, BillyBio) in 2006.  Proven has since then recorded three albums with Billy as co-producer and co-engineer. They have shared the stage with great bands including; Biohazard, Sepultura, Soulfly, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Superjoint, Phil and The Illegals, Black Label Society, Crowbar, In Flames, Amon Amarth, Unearth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Chimaira, Prong, Terror, Sworn Enemy, After The Burial, Bury Your Dead, Emmure, Powerflo and many more. Proven has toured Ireland and the US multiple times, and has pummeled fans worldwide on Sirius XM, and terrestrial radio stations across the nation.  Proven has always taken the DIY approach in every aspect of the band, and have done things on their own terms. Their latest album "Always On The Attack", was released August 30th, 2019 on the Australian label 1054 Records. Currently, they are working on a new album and preparing for a tour in the Spring of 2026 to commemorate 20 years as a band.

CROWN OF THORNS Crown of Thorns are a Roseburg based band formed in 2024.Showcasing elements of thrash, Hardcore, and a dose of metal core... Our members Matt Webber, Tony Marin, Logan Linn have been in bands such as Machine Corpse, Lidless Eye, Shanoa, and Amerikan Metal Project...and have over 20 years experience in the metal scene in Oregon.
