About Us
Lookout Eugene-Springfield is a community newspaper that is wholly digital, delivered to its audiences 24-7, wherever they are and however they prefer to connect - on computers, smartphones and tablets. Our journalism is local, nonpartisan and factual. We believe all communities need robust, trustworthy news sources – covering all the “beats” that daily newspapers used to, in modern digital formats that audiences expect.
Our Mission : To make Lane County a better place to live, for all who live here, through high-quality local news that informs and connects the community. We will be supporting non-profits and businesses as well as hold "Lookout Listen" session to hear from the community.
Additionally, Lookout in the Classroom (LOIC) is a media literacy and civic engagement program designed for local high school students. In today’s media landscape, where information comes at us from every angle – critical thinking and media literacy are essential skills. LOIC gives students access to reliable local journalism and the tools to navigate the modern media environment.
