Casey Koontz is the founder of DOMO DOJO, bringing a unique combination of architectural education and hands-on construction experience to every project. An Air Force veteran, Casey later worked as a journeyman carpenter and contractor on residential, commercial, and civic projects before earning degrees in Environmental Studies and Architecture from the University of Oregon.
His studies included sustainable eco-districts and self-sufficient communities throughout Europe. He later worked in architectural design and project management and co-founded a design-build construction company before establishing DOMO DOJO.
Casey’s approach combines design, building science, construction knowledge, and sustainability to create simple, economical, beautiful, and well-built spaces. At DOMO DOJO, he focuses on architectural design, visualization, permitting, construction consulting, and helping clients turn ideas into buildable solutions.
