Chamber Roundtable: Exploring Solutions for a Better Business Climate
CHAMBER ROUNDTABLE:
EXPLORING SOLUTIONS FOR A BETTER BUSINESS CLIMATE
“Oregon needs a healthy business climate to encourage private-sector investment, create jobs and opportunities for Oregonians, and generate revenue for government services.”
- Oregon Business & Industry's Oregon Competitiveness Agenda
In our first Roundtable of 2025, we’ll examine the state’s business climate, exploring key opportunities to foster a healthier, more competitive economy in Oregon. We'll be joined by Paloma Sparks, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Oregon Business & Industry (OBI), who will share insights from OBI’s recently released Oregon Competitiveness Agenda. This report outlines statewide challenges and presents actionable strategies to address issues such as tax policy, workforce shortages, land availability, and regulatory reform.
This Roundtable offers a unique opportunity for Chamber members to engage in discussion, ask questions, and share local perspectives on the agenda’s proposals. Together, we’ll consider how businesses, legislators, and regulatory bodies can work collaboratively to improve Oregon's business environment.
