DESCRIPTION:Our Springfield Ronald McDonald House is a partner of the Eugene Marathon 5K. We are helping recruit volunteers to help course marshall on Saturday\, April 26th. How does this benefit both our community and RMHC? The Eugene Marathon donates to RMHC for our volunteers' time! It's a win-win-win! Join us!\n\n\n\nhttps://eugenemarathon.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/RMHC/?eventGroupId=2fdd5e6bd4a142f79ac6189ddb73d2c4\n\n\n\nCourse marshals are positioned around the course\, supporting runners and providing eyes and ears for safety and encouragement. Course marshals should dress in layers for the weather. As a course marshal\, you may have to answer questions from pedestrians and drivers and direct travelers away from a closed intersection or area of the course. More training around this will be available in emails confirming your shift.  Plan to check in with the volunteer coordinator at the Health & Wellness Expo on the Friday. On race day\, course marshals will have everything they need to proceed directly to their location.
