It grows through collaboration between researchers\, educators\, entrepreneurs\, industry partners\, and the broader business community.\n\n\n\nThis month's Chamber Roundtable will provide an inside look at the Knight Campus\, where scientific discovery is being translated into new technologies\, startup ventures\, and workforce opportunities. Callie Johnston\, the Assistant Vice President for Development and Chief Development Officer for the Knight Campus\, will discuss the campus's mission\, its approach to accelerating innovation\, and the role it plays in supporting entrepreneurship and industry partnerships. Following the conversation\, participants will take a guided tour of the Knight Campus\, highlighting the spaces\, programs\, and collaborations that make this work possible.\n\n\n\nThe Roundtable + Tour will showcase how the campus supports innovation and commercialization\, providing attendees with insight into how research has real-world applications that create businesses\, jobs\, and economic opportunity.\n\n \n\nIf you're interested in entrepreneurship\, workforce development\, emerging technologies\, or the future of our regional economy\, this Roundtable + Tour offers an exciting chance to see one of Oregon's leading innovation hubs through a business and economic development lens.\n\n \n\nPRESENTER\n\n\n	\n		\n			\n		\n		\n			\n			Callie Johnston\n\n			Assistant Vice President for Development and Chief Development Officer\, Knight Campus\n			\n		\n	\n\n\nCallie Johnston is the Assistant Vice President for Development and Chief Development Officer for the Knight Campus. Prior to coming to the University of Oregon\, Callie spent 14 years in development at the University of Chicago\, where she was most recently Senior Director of Principal Gifts in Medicine and Biological Sciences Development. In this role\, she connected faculty who focused on cancer research\, neuroscience\, chemical biology\, immunoengineering\, community health/trauma\, microbiome science\, and basic science with individuals who were capable of making gifts of $5M or greater.\n\n\n\nCallie has a BA in English and Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame and an MS in Public Service from DePaul University in Chicago.
