Winter Poultry and Homesteading Faire
What is Homesteading? Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by subsistence agriculture, home preservation of foodstuffs, and it may or may not also involve the small scale production of textiles, clothing, and craftwork for household use or sale.
Oregon Poultry Swap Inc. brings you 91 vendor spaces filled with local vendors from around Oregon selling animals - poultry, waterfowl, rabbits and cavies of all ages, hatching eggs, livestock supplies and organic feed, beekeeping items, compost products and displays, plants, a variety of homesteading items including spinning fiber and handmade fabric and fiber items, recycled arts, crafts, candles and jewelry, pottery and stained glass, honey, jams, teas, baked goods and candies, handmade soaps, lotions and bath products, in-booth demos and information, Dept of Ag health table, local 4H groups, kid's craft activities, games and contests, and a Seed Swap - all FREE and OPEN to the public!
We are collecting food and toiletry items for The Student Pantry at U of O - bins will be available at the entrance. Please help us Give Back to the community by donating!
